Crisp White Wine

Grape variety: Chardonnay

Description: Rafè’s pale straw-yellow hue reveals to the attentive eye intriguing greenish highlights. On the nose, pronounced floral notes predominate among its complex aromas. On the palate, a delicious, fresh acidity that is nicely complemented by a subtle and lasting fruity finish. Serve well chilled. It is delicious with fish dishes and light risottos, as well as with full-flavoured cured prosciutto.

From its inception in 1983, Cascina Gilli has dedicated their care and attention to the indigenous grape varieties of their region. They have always felt the role of custodians in respect of this special variety. In their words: ‘Over the years we have made enormous progress in understanding this precious grape and it seems that it has not yet finished surprising us.’
